A High Tea by the Sea

Host: Jacquie Camilleri

This annual fundraiser is set in Fish D'Vine at Airlie Beach. A beautiful high tea raising funds and awareness for The Trudy Crowley Foundation in support of regional women suffering from Cervical Cancer.

Intention

"Our Beautiful friend Trudy Crowley was diagnosed with Ovarian Cancer in 2016 and was handed a breast cancer brochure, it showed her how limited the resources and understanding were at that time. She found her voice and started to lift the awareness of Ovarian Cancer in our community and nationwide, even speaking in Parliament House which helped secure much needed funds to go to research of this dreadful disease.

Before she passed in 2018, we set up the Foundation with her blessing to help support the women of Mackay and Greater Whitsunday’s.

With the generosity of our community we now have two dedicated Palliative Care Nurses, Rosie and Chris, and Counsellor Rebecca whom we employ to support the patients and their families with a Cancer Support Centre.

All this would not be available to our patients if it wasn’t for the amazing caring support from beautiful  people like Katlyn Aslett and Kev Collins that have huge hearts to support the people in their community.

THANKYOU MY GIVING TABLE!"

Jacquie Camilleri, Director, The Trudy McCrowley Foundation.

Close to My Heart

The Trudy McCrowley Foundation

"Being a Cancer based Foundation it was beautiful to come together and celebrate with bubbles - our friend Trudy Crowley's favourite - and fabulous food to raise awareness of the signs and symptoms of Ovarian Cancer. As well as raise money to support our goals for the future! ALL money raised stays in our local region!"  Jacquie
